It can continuously monitor generator shaft modes and damping, and display generator twist angle, modal frequency, torsional stress and torsional power in real-time. Once the torque amplitude exceeds the setting, torsional stress relay (TSR) will send alarm and trip command to avoid damage of rotor shaft. The SSR/SSO supplementary excitation damping controller can further reduce the generator shaft torsional vibration.
