? Control Center Layer
Energy management system with SCADA and dedicated advanced applications are used for whole or regional railway power system. It monitors, controls and manages the railway power system in power control center based on a remote communication system between the control center and substations.
? Station Layer
A substation automation system is applied in traction stations and switch stations. The system performs the station SCADA functions and communicates with control center. It monitors, controls and manages primary equipment and bay layer intelligent electronic device (IED) in station. The operator in control center is able to do the same function via station automation system.
? Bay Layer
The layer mainly consists of various IEDs, such as protection relays, automatic control devices and other intelligent devices, which can communicate data to station control layer via Ethernet or field bus.
